Under the supervision and direction of the Office Manager, the Project Coordinator provides support and assistance to ANJC staff, participants, and community partners in Advocacy for Victims, Restorative Justice, Social Justice and Education. The project coordinator will be responsible for special projects for all aspects of ANJC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with staff and community partners to develop, maintain and report goals, and to collect data from community partners.
Maintain confidentiality according to regulations and procedures.
Coordinate with leadership team to monitor grant required information and strategic planning processes.
Provide participants/victims with resources and activities to provide healthy lifestyle opportunities.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as directed.
Assure continuous and timely flow of verbal and written communication to and from other staff, supervisor, program participants/victims, and the community. Prepare, provide and distribute timely and accurate written reports as required or requested.
Perform all related duties as assigned.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include the following: ability to write reports, correspondence, other documents as needed for grant reporting, and the ability to effectively present information to groups and community partners
Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work with diverse groups of people with varying needs.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
Must be proficient at Microsoft, especially Word, Excel and Access.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize workload within timeline.
Coordinate logistics, planning, and preparation of ANJC events to include Annual Fundraiser, Color of Justice, staff events and all other ANJC functions.
Coordinate outreach opportunities for ANJC.
Create and maintains annual communication plan for social media purposes.
Coordinate social media needs with ANJC management.
Create and maintain all print material and graphic needs for ANJC
Order and maintain all promotional needs for ANJC.
Work with ANJC management team on newsletter development.
Responsible for distribution of newsletter.
Provide strategic support to ANJC Management
Assist office manager with the coordination of ANJC Board of Director meetings.
Ensure that all key contact lists kept current and maintained.
Assist with scheduling coordination for meetings, travel, and staff needs.
Assist ANJC with front desk needs as requested.
Serve on ANJC/CITC committees as requested.
Complete duties as assigned.
Local, state, national and rural Alaska village travel may be required for this position.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, educational, training, and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.
Associates degree or Vocational Education and/or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge of graphic design programs.
Knowledge of AP style writing.
Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under CITC’s automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age; have reliable transportation and be willing/able to travel.
Continued employment is contingent upon a report from a state and federal background check.
